Hamad Khalid al Ebri started the presentation by introducing himself and the topic that he was going to speak about; he presented about Munich city in Germany. Hamad was standing at the side of the screen and he wasn’t moving a lot and that helped the audience to concentrate, but he did a huge mistake and it is that he did not have eye contact with all the audience but he was only concentrating on Mr. Hedley and a couple of students.

 Hamad had a lot of information about his topic and he answered a lot of questions from the audience, and I noticed a nice thing about his presentation which was his text size and the information, he wrote the name of places which he spoke about and the opening date, and the pictures in the presentation where very clear and taken from very nice angles that show the audience a nice view of tourist attractions in Munich.

Ahmed started the meeting at 9:30 to discuss the high number of locals who suffer from diabetes in UAE.

2-      Effects of diabetes

3-      Cure of diabetes

4-      Patients

A- Hamdan talked about the numbers of local patients in the United Arab Emirates and then he discussed with Mr. Hedley about the medication that patients should take.

 

B- Mr. Hedley and Dr. Hamdan also discussed about how life style can affect the patients and how it can help them to cure this disease.

 

C-Mr. Mohammed and Mr. Ahmed talked about the role of the government in helping the patients and provide all the needs to cure this disease

Ahmed Awadh ended the meeting at 10:20

 

 

Recommendation

 

1-      Mohammed suggested that Al Noor hospital and Imperial hospital should be partners and be together in curing this disease.

2-      Mr. Hedley and Hamdan said that we should create a program for the patients to help in changing their life style.

3-      The chair Ahmed Awadh talked about the program that he will do in the next month and that is making plays for schools and doing lectures for college students and employees and we will even give them a couple of booklets just to have an idea about this disease and the effect of it.

The chairman Ahmed Awadh started the meeting with a 2 minutes introduction “Good morning gentlemen my name is Ahmed Awadh, I am the manager of Imperial hospital for curing diabetes. I’m honored to meet you Mr. Mohammed and Mr. Hedley, we are meeting today to discuss about the partnership between Al Noor hospital and the imperial hospital.

I am accompanied today by Dr. Hamdan Khamis who is a specialist in our hospital for treating people who are suffers diabetes and he will talk to you about the causes and the treatments for this disease.”

 

Dr. Hamdan started by welcoming the guests and then he gave them an idea about what he is going to talk about in the meeting, “Good morning Mr. Mohammed and Mr. Hedley, it’s my pleasure to meet today in this meeting and in this good cause. As we know that 73% of locals in the United Arab Emirates and that is a huge percentage if we want to compare it with other nationalities.

First of all I’m going to discuss with you the causes of diabetes and after that I’m going to tell how we can cure this disease, after that Dr. Hamdan talked about the two types of diabetes that are called type one and type two.”

 

Dr. Hamdan kept talking about the types and the causes for eight minutes, and after that Mr. Hedley asked about the effect of the lifestyle on the disease “Dr. Hamdan as you see that in these days fast food is everywhere and there is nobody exercise and people use cars and buses instead of walking or using the cycle“

Dr. Hamdan answered Mr. Hedley question “I agree Mr. Hedley, lifestyle is a main reason for getting type two, because it usually comes from the lifestyle and from the genes that you got from your parents   .”

After the conversation that happened between Mr. Hedley and Dr. Hamdan, Mohammed asked the chairman Ahmed Awadh “as you know we opened a new diabetes department and we suffer from the high number of the patients, so I’m here to discuss about the partnership between Al Noor hospital and Empireal hospital.”

The chairman Ahmed Awadh answered “We Empireal hospital welcomes your partnership because our main goal is to eradicate this disease, and actually we have new strategies for delivering the information to the society, for example we use cartoons and plays for children and we give lectures and booklets for university students and employees.”

 

Mr. Ahmed ended the meeting at ten o’clock “it’s my pleasure meeting you Mr. Hedley and Mr. Mohammed; we will response to you about the partnership between our hospitals in the next meeting.”

 

The Interview

 

Hamad Khalid came yesterday to AFOC, he is a 19 years old student who applied  for this job to become a video games championship organizer, he chooses this job because he enjoys playing video games and to organize it.

Hamdan used to compete on these competitions he has a two years’ experience in this job  and he also won  the gulf championship and he also organized last year gulf championship  competitions and also the world championship competition which was evented in Abu Dhabi .

 Hamad says that he is the best person for this job because he has a two years’ experience in organizing and even playing, and in last year he organized the gulf championship on his own, so he is a one man team and he also works well under pressure and he also can work and study at the same time but he hopes that he don have a conflict between his job time and his studying time.

 

Hamad didn’t ask a lot of question he asked them about what would be his responsibilities and what he has to do in his job, and Abdulla answered him by saying that there will be a team of four people and they will be under his command, and he also asked about his contract and Mr. Hedley answered that he will have a two years contract and if they see that he is really the right person for the job they will renew his contract and maybe he will have a pay rise.
